安赫丽塔广场海滩公寓

Aire is a restaurant with plenty of soul thanks to its setting in a century-old property close to the Playa de La Malagueta and, above all, the couple behind this project, with Pepo Frade in charge of the kitchen and María Schaller running everything front of house. Their attractive cuisine approaches Andalucian recipes and flavours from a contemporary perspective, with some dishes available in half-portions. They also offer an unusual section entitled “Sin Cubiertos” (literally “without cutlery”) as well as a GastroMenú (a six-course exploration of their à la carte).

Located on the ground floor of the MS Maestranza hotel, conveniently located between the bullring and the ever-busy Muelle Uno. You'll find a contemporary menu, with a tapas option, which revisits dishes from the local gastronomy, such as its reinterpretation of the Ensalada Malagueña or the wild sea bass in miso and camomile gazpachuelo. Tip: Don't miss the cocktail that gives the restaurant its name, made with gin, red vermouth, banana liqueur, lime and angostura (with this cocktail, in 1967, the founder of the hotel chain was Spanish champion and runner-up in the World Cocktail Championship
