Here, the cooking has been taken back to basics, with the focus placed squarely on the first-rate regional produce. The cuisine of Felix Messner – who runs the restaurant together with his brother Florian – is inspired by Austria and Vorarlberg. The menu features dishes such as vitello tonnato made from Andelsbuch veal topside and garnished with caper blossoms, and Lake Constance whitefish fillet with aubergine relish, lime and basil broth, and olive gnocchi. A Dornbirn landmark right on the Marktplatz (still the market square), it has been sensitively renovated and restored, and now boasts five really beautiful historical rooms.
