Dating back to 1647, this lovely building on Marktplatz is the second oldest in Waiblingen and was once a pharmacy. Today, chic and trendy decor, as well as a lively atmosphere make for an appealing contrast with the historical setting. Nab a seat at the counter for a front-row view into the glass-paned kitchen, where chef-patron Bernd Bachofer conjures up dishes that are cosmopolitan, exciting and meticulously prepared using first-rate ingredients – for instance the perfectly cooked and flamed black cod fillet marinated in miso, or the highly aromatic and tender caramelised suckling pig belly

The interior is modern and minimalist, and outside there is a charming terrace overlooking the forecourt. Chef-patron Patrick Schubert cooks up dishes that are creative and full of flavour – opt for his ambitious signature set menu ("Da kommsch rum") or choose from the somewhat simpler à la carte selection.
