Located well away from the busy city centre and overlooking the luxury yachts and boats moored in the harbour, this restaurant opened in the summer of 2021, at the same time as the modern Cala del Forte marina in which it is situated (the name of the marina comes from the Forte dell'Annunziata, the ruins of which are visible from the side facing the sea). The dining rooms in this lively, typical restaurant in the upper, historic part of Bordighera appear to be almost dug out of the rock. Here, a local chef with plenty of experience behind him creates predominantly Ligurian cuisine (and not just fish and seafood), accompanied by an excellent and extensive wine list, including labels from outside Italy and a good selection of champagnes. Just opposite Mauro Colagreco's flagship restaurant, this is the Italian-Argentine chef's hacienda-style Argentinian grill, which has a large covered terrace overlooking the sea, the town and the harbour. You are completely transported by this typically Argentine open-flame cooking, which here is well executed and so delicious, with its smoky aromas: empanadas, octopus a la plancha, beef picanha to share, dulce de leche flan. A masterclass in gourmet conviviality.
