Housed in the building that was once home to Europe's first indoor tennis courts, Nobuyuki Matsuhisa's restaurant buzzes with infectious vibrancy. The wide-ranging menu features a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines – everything is prepared in the open kitchen (there is also a sushi bar). The black cod miso is definitely worth trying.

The globally renowned "Beefbar" concept, which originated in Monte Carlo, has now arrived in St Moritz, at the luxurious Grace La Margna hotel. Open in the evenings, this restaurant has an elegant interior with a DJ providing the perfect musical backdrop. The waitstaff are courteous and professional. The international menu is dominated by premium charcoal-grilled meat cuts, but select fish and vegetables also feature in seasonal dishes. The impressive wine list is complemented by a fantastic cocktail menu.

KCC stands for Kulm Country Club. The handsome L-shaped building is located right next to the ice rink and has a garden for summer days. Local produce takes centre stage in the dishes, which often draw on Mediterranean influences. As well as an appealing selection of starters and pasta dishes, the menu includes dishes for two, such as beef cutlets and lamb shoulder. Much of the food is flame-grilled or roasted over embers. This is a place to see and be seen on the ski slopes overlooking St Moritz. The terrace affords magnificent views, making it a delightful spot in which to savour freshly prepared Italian cuisine. Langoustine, lobster and fish, truffle pizza and pasta are the specialities of this restaurant, which also has locations in Milan, Paris and Paraggi. If you're not skiing, the best way to get here is by taxi.

This charming restaurant in the Suvretta House hotel at the entrance to the skiing and hiking area has found a winning formula, offering rustic specialities for lunch and more sophisticated dishes in the evening, such as herb-crusted rack of lamb, mashed potatoes, chanterelle-asparagus ragout and baby carrots.

Cornelia and René A Donatz run their business with great dedication. In an elegant rustic-style decor, they serve good fresh cuisine, including classic veal dishes, Angus beef "bestsellers", vegetarian fare and fish such as Graubünden salmon from Lostallo.
