Located in a small park, the Kieler Kaufmann hotel is accommodated in a building that was originally a banker's mansion, the first iteration of which was built in 1859. This is the hotel's relaxed, laid-back restaurant alternative to Ahlmanns. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view out onto the greenery, and the service is friendly and competent. The menu is characterised by North German influences and inspired by modern cuisine. The lunch deal is also popular.
