Somewhat tucked away, this delightful restaurant in the Zurich Oberland has plenty of regulars. One draw is the wonderful view – in good weather you can see Mt Säntis. The interior is an attractive blend of cosy and traditional, with more modern touches. In summer, make a beeline for the gorgeous terrace in front of the building. The menu changes with the seasons. Choose à la carte or take a punt on the four- or five-course surprise menu, which also comes in a vegetarian version. Friendly and dedicated front-of-house team.

Like the gourmet restaurant, Gasthaus also combines modernity and tradition, from the decor down to the menu. While things are a bit more casual here, the cooking is also really good – the quality of the sauces alone will convince you of that! You can put together your own menu – and even make it vegetarian. Served à la carte or as a set menu, classic cuisine made with seasonal produce is the order of the day here. The upscale interior is very comfortable, with harmonious, lovingly arranged decorative objects – it certainly does full justice to the luxurious setting of the traditional holiday hotel of the same name in which this restaurant is housed. For overnight stays, there are elegant country-house-style guestrooms – this is after all the sister hotel of Baiersbronn's Hotel Bareiss. Make a beeline for the gorgeous garden terrace in summer.
