In an unremarkable district of Capriate lies one of the most interesting expressions of Chinese cuisine in Lombardy. Do not be misled by the surroundings: once through the door, the atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming and, above all, Mr Zhu Weikun’s cooking is truly accomplished, with an excellent quality-price ratio. The menu is refreshingly concise rather than overwhelming, focusing on a well-judged selection of fragrant dishes that clearly express the flavours and techniques of the great Chinese gastronomic tradition. In a romantic setting of eighteenth-century farmhouses, you will find the same rustic atmosphere inside the restaurant as well, but combined with elements of modern elegance, starting with the solid wood tables left bare, with no tablecloth. Chef patron Stagi offers a single tasting menu (you can, however, choose between the full or abbreviated version, and the dishes are, in any case, also on the menu) with a creative and sometimes very elaborate character.
