Although there’s a good choice of starters and several fish options, the main speciality is grilled meat, hence the cabinets full of different cuts (Galician sirloin, Angus ribs from Ireland, aged T-bone etc).

Once in a while you come across a truly pleasant surprise in a rural setting run by chefs who have returned to their roots with the sole aim of showcasing what they have learnt elsewhere. This is definitely the case with couple Fernando and Eva, two cooks (although she is also in charge of the dining room service) who have restored her grandmother’s house and created their own vegetable garden (which also includes a greenhouse). Their contemporary cuisine has plenty of personality and is centred around a single seasonal vegetarian menu. We loved the roasted aubergines with miso!

This modest establishment, located next to the municipal car park (where the weekly market is usually held), focuses on traditional cuisine that stands out for the quality of its fish and seafood, purchased daily at the fish market, although some meat dishes and tasty rice dishes for two are also on the menu.
