Michela offers guests a friendly welcome at this restaurant, where chef Raffaele creates intensely flavoured recipes enhanced by the use of vegetables fresh from the garden. Unmissable dishes include a delicious tortello pasta with sea snails which is full of fresh and decisive flavours, and lightly seared scallops served (in season) with mixed mushrooms and a delicate peach compote, as well as pigeon cooked in two different ways. The wine list features an extensive selection of Italian and international options, including a choice of some vintage labels. The dining room here is contemporary i

Storie d'Amore

Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

€€€€

This small, welcoming restaurant in the province of Padova is run by its two owners, one at the helm in the kitchen, the other overseeing the warm and beautifully decorated dining room. The cuisine is complex and elaborate rather than minimalist, with chef Davide Filippetto either creating different dishes from the same ingredient or preparing different ingredients in imaginative combinations. An abundant and generous menu, which includes an extensive wine list.

Baracca - Storica Hostaria

€€

A classic, attractively elegant restaurant which boasts an extensive choice of dishes on its menu. The varied options here range from meat to fish dishes, often prepared in regional recipes such as tagliatelle with duck ragù and toasted hazelnuts, chicken liver risotto, Vicenza-style baccalà and meat casserole.

Situated next to the cinema-theatre, in an area a little off the beaten track but well worth exploring, this gem of a restaurant specialises in fish and seafood from the Veneto, serving its fish (fresh off the boat) in traditional home-made dishes which are timeless and comforting. Each dish introduces diners to the authentic flavours of the lagoon, in carefully prepared recipes that fully respect the top-quality ingredients. To finish your meal, don’t miss the pannacotta with fresh strawberry sauce – a classic favourite that is truly delicious! There’s a carefully thought-out selection of win

€€

Situated in the green heart of the Mirano countryside, this restaurant serves simple yet substantial cuisine. Authentic traditional cuisine is to the fore here, with a focus on top-quality ingredients and reasonable prices. The ambience is warm and welcoming, evoking the feel of a country house, while the serving staff – always available with a smile – add a friendly touch that makes every meal a special occasion. The perfect address for anyone looking for authenticity, flavour and a family-style welcome.

Trattoria da Paeto

You follow narrow roads flanked by canals and surrounded by countryside to get to this warm and friendly restaurant with modern, comfortable dining rooms. The menu here always features a daily special of raw fish or seafood, served with creative seasoning, and sarde in saor (sardines). However, the true star of the show is cod (baccalà) – we recommend the triptych of baccalà which showcases the different traditional recipes of this fish to the full.

Situated in a small rural hamlet, this restaurant is one of the best in the Venetian hinterland for top-quality fish. Served in welcoming dining rooms, the fish and seafood dishes here are traditional and unfussy in style, and full of natural flavour.

Feria

Indonesian, Asian Contemporary

€€€

A modern restaurant with an Indonesian-style decor, plus an attractive open-view kitchen which creates a warm and welcoming ambience. Here, Marco Feltrin, an Italian chef with experience in Indonesian cuisine, serves typical dishes from this country with a contemporary twist. We particularly enjoyed the noodles, squid and leeks, and the charcoal-grilled snapper. The wine list includes a good selection of organic and biodynamic labels which are the perfect accompaniment to the Asian food served here. Feria has two distinct spaces – the bistro-cum-bar which serves cocktails and some street-food
