Modern Cuisine, Creative · ★ Michelin

The fine dining restaurant of the Hilton Munich Airport hotel, located at the airport, is quite a visual statement with its semi-circular layout and chic modern design. Diners are seated at generously spaced tables elegantly set with quality tableware to enjoy the modern, seasonally inspired cuisine of Marcel Tauschek and his team and friendly, attentive and professional service. Dishes such as "rabbit, asparagus, wild garlic" or "beef, broccoli, onion" stand out for their wonderful textures and expression, deftly balancing contrasting flavours into a harmonious whole. With its stylish urban design, this restaurant would not look out of place in a major city. The chic, modern aesthetic and electronic music are paired with service that is as warm as it is accomplished, creating a pleasingly relaxed atmosphere with an almost homely feel. The "Gourmetmenü" comprises four to eight courses (with an optional cheese course); this tasting menu is also available in a vegetarian version on request. Dishes such as "Huchen, cherry, sage" or "Ibérico pork, brown crab, vin jaune" give diners an idea of the inventive combinations of ingredients they can expect. For all the

Tantris boasts a unique look with its bold colour scheme evoking the "red of lobster and black of truffle"! A few modern touches, such as a distinctive walk-in glass wine cabinet, complement the restaurant's legendary style without compromising its iconic 1970s charm. The cuisine of Benjamin Chmura and his team strikes a masterful balance of textures and flavours, often incorporating playful bursts of acidity. This is beautifully illustrated, for instance, by the charcoal-grilled and delicately spiced melt-in-the-mouth pigeon breast, accompanied by a red berry sauce with beautiful depth and ma

This restaurant has firmly established itself among the world's top-tier dining destinations. The ability of Jan Hartwig and his team to bridge the gap between French culinary artistry and German classics is impressive. Dishes such as meatloaf, egg with mustard sauce and Handkas mit Musik are transformed into something spectacular. Each creation dazzles – the quality of the ingredients is beyond question, and the craftsmanship is masterful. In the seven-course set menu, every detail is precisely executed and well thought out, with a clear sense of identity, featuring inventive and sometimes su

It is absolutely worth climbing the 23 steps of the beautiful steep wooden staircase that leads to this tasteful, upscale restaurant, which has been designed with an eye for detail. In this historic location (Munich's oldest town house, where the city's history started to be recorded in 1552), Tohru Nakamura – a Munich-born chef of German-Japanese descent – artfully bridges the gap between classic French and European cuisine and the culinary traditions of Japan. The combination of ingredients and flavours from both cultures makes for a unique twist, for example, in the perfectly cooked, delica

This remarkable restaurant in Hotel Bayerischer Hof is reminiscent of an artist's studio – chic grey dominates the colour scheme, and everything is tastefully done, down to the last detail. This understated luxury provides the backdrop, courtesy of Axel Vervoordt's interior design. Always on hand, the extremely personable and young yet experienced waitstaff pull out all the stops. There has been a change in kitchen leadership, with Kevin Romes (known from Skin's – the restaurant in Lenzburg) now at the helm. Dallmayr is a name that has always been synonymous with good taste and excellent ingredients, and the same can be said for Alois. Head through the bar to a staircase that leads you up to the first floor of the iconic delicatessen. This is a chic and elegant setting in which to savour Rosina Ostler's cuisine, which skilfully blends classic French and Nordic styles with her Bavarian roots. This gives the array of 15 - 17 dishes on the menu a unique hallmark: cleverly devised, thoughtfully structured and at the same time delicate creations. In a great central location just a few minutes' walk from Marienplatz, chef-patron Christoph Kunz delivers wonderfully flavourful and fuss-free modern cuisine in the form of a four-course set menu at lunchtime and an eight-course dinner menu. The dishes are elaborate, while maintaining elegant simplicity – with just three main components going into sometimes quite surprising combinations, the talented chef creates fantastic marriages of flavours, such as Portuguese red mullet fillet seared briefly on the skin, cut into strips and served with delicately sweet, crisp young peas and an aromatic f
