A historic palazzo that once served military and ecclesiastical functions now presides over the main promenade with understated grandeur. Inside, minimalist elegance converses with modern art objects perfectly integrated into the setting, creating a refined space of contemporary character. Here, Luca Abbruzzino explores his Calabria with a personal, engaging vision: a vibrant, modern cuisine that showcases technique and sensitivity through dry-aged fish, well-balanced contrasts, and masterful use of local ingredients. In a world of haute cuisine still dominated by male chefs, Caterina Ceraudo stands out for her authoritative presence and large personality. Her restaurant is housed in a charming agriturismo which offers simple guestrooms decorated in attractive, rustic style, a beautiful swimming pool shaded by thousand-year-old olive trees, and traditional produce such as wine, olive oil, cedro and orange marmalades, and fruit juices. All of this provides a fitting backdrop for Caterina’s modern, creative and yet unfussy cuisine which is made using local ingredients and showcased on two tasting menus and a

An alternative eatery amid the Abruzzo dining options, situated on the beautiful seafront promenade at Soverato. The idea is simple: fish takes centre stage, served in rolls, on "broast" and “friselle” bread, as well as raw or fried, although generous salads and delicious desserts are also available. The ingredients, full of flavour and always simply prepared, result in copious and colourful dishes. Good quality wine is available by the glass, plus a fine choice of cocktails which is enhanced in the evening by the addition of creative home-made options. Friendly female staff, plus excellent ba

A single tasting menu invites guests to explore the culinary vision of Chef Massimo: a journey through authentic flavors of land and sea, enhanced by creative, personal touches. Delightful contrasts unfold around the onion, enveloped in a velvety cheese cream, while the “sottobosco” dish evokes autumn with the earthy aroma of porcini and tart hints of red berries. All this is embraced by the warm atmosphere of a converted former stable, where dry stone walls whisper tales of times past.
