Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

Part of the region near La Coruña known as the Coast of Death, Fisterra has reinvigorated its culinary options thanks to this restaurant occupying a former bar overlooking Da Ribeira beach. Having trained in award-winning restaurants such as Casa Marcial (La Salgar, in the Asturias region) and Mina (Bilbao), young chef Brais Pichel has returned home to take his turn at the helm of the family business, transforming it into a contemporary space with a highly consistent culinary approach in the kitchen. Just a single tasting menu is on offer here, one which is modern in approach, changes almost d

Villa de Oro
Traditional Cuisine · 必比登
€€
If you happen to be travelling along the Costa da Morte and are looking for a good place to eat, it is well worth booking a table at Villa de Oro, a third-generation restaurant that has already celebrated its golden wedding anniversary! Located in the centre of Camariñas, on the ground floor of a residential building, it boasts a recently modernised dining room, a small glass-fronted wine cellar and a live seafood tank. The traditional, regionally inspired à la carte menu is, as you would expect in this part of the world, heavily focused on fish and seafood, although a choice of meat dishes is

Landua
Contemporary
€€
Occupying an old stone house in the heart of the countryside and equipped with its own greenhouse-vegetable garden, Landua is run with great enthusiasm by a young couple. In the beautiful dining room, which has been converted from what was once the stable, you will be offered a unique surprise menu with simple yet well-balanced and elegant dishes. Although they use ingredients from the nearby coast and meadows, the vegetables take centre stage. The access road is very attractive, as it partly runs alongside the Santa Uxia reservoir!

Lonxa d´Alvaro
Meats and Seafood
€€
A family-run restaurant with a contemporary feel and independent extractor fans on each table, located a stone’s throw from the boats anchored in the harbor. What's on offer? Magnificent fish and seafood (usually large pieces), tasty grilled meats (Galician and Wagyu), as well as delicious seafood rice dishes. Everything is local and aligned with a traditional cuisine that always makes room for contemporary details. Don't miss the octopus with sea urchin cream and potatoes!

Ó Fragón
Galician
€€
A unique restaurant with a modern feel in the upper part of town, hence its impressive views of the port, estuary and Langosteira beach. Ó Fragón’s up-to-date cuisine is inspired by availability in the market and at the fish auction and is presented on an à la carte (with dishes designed for sharing) and through a tasting menu (10 courses), with almost the entire proposal revolving around fish, seafood and organic vegetables. Aside from the desserts, an interesting footnote is the excellent choice of artisanal Galician cheeses, served with delicious homemade bread.

La Tavernetta da Ponte
Italian, Traditional Cuisine
€
Looking for a unique restaurant experience? This original wine bar-tavern is run by a Galician-Neapolitan couple and has an interior that leaves no one indifferent, as it has several different areas (one of them is a suspended terrace overlooking the Ría do Porto). The menu features both Galician and Italian dishes, both of which come in generous portions designed for sharing. What should you order? Don't miss the Calamarata with fresh truffles, mushrooms, crispy cecina, and Parmigiano Reggiano. On Sundays, they also offer wonderful gourmet pizzas!

Tira do Cordel
Seafood
€€€
A restaurant occupying a century-old property that was once a salting factory, with a superb location right by one of the area’s most charming beaches. Although simply prepared and presented, the cuisine is centred around the superb ingredients found along the Costa da Morte, with those cooked on the grill particularly popular.
