Trattoria alla Ruota
Modern Cuisine, Regional Cuisine · 必比登
€€
Nestled among the Valpolicella hills, guests may settle into the cozy dining room with its fireplace, the charming veranda, or in fine weather the outdoor terrace. The warm hospitality ushers diners into the world of chef Renza Peretti, who celebrates local traditions while embracing modern inspiration. Noteworthy dishes include the Amarone-braised meat tortelli, duck terrine with puff pastry, and the passion fruit soufflé with vanilla ice cream. The wine list devotes many pages to the Verona region, with an impressively broad selection available by the glass.

€€
A welcoming inn nestled amid the last vineyards of Valpolicella and the first pasturelands of the lower Lessinia region, where a young chef serves cuisine with a focus on local ingredients and classic Italian recipes with a modern twist. In summer, the terrace offers a fresh, cool setting with extensive views. The barbecued meat is superb.

The undoubted star of this restaurant is the Enbogonè tagliatelle – a pasta made entirely by hand and seasoned with a sauce made from borlotti beans, local extra - virgin olive oil and rosemary – although the menu features many other dishes. Simple, honest cuisine made mainly from carefully selected regional produce, accompanied by an excellent selection of local wines.
