The dedication of the experienced couple at the helm, Romy and Beat Amrein, is palpable. Tasty Mediterranean and French dishes are Beat's speciality – this is pleasant, straightforward cuisine. Romy is in charge front of house, serving guests in her natural and cordial manner. It is worth perusing the wine list, which reveals a penchant for French and Swiss picks. The lunch menu is shorter. The charming modern bistro-style interior with its open kitchen and the terrace giving onto the little square (Mühleplatz) are both lovely places to sit and eat.

Where the old Ochsen inn once stood, the new OX'n stands today with its eye-catching modern design – all the glass gives the place an airy feel and a pleasing sense of transparency. The overall atmosphere is trendy yet inviting. In good weather, the terrace beckons. Friendly service.
