Description
The space evokes old Shanghai circa 1920 – stained-glass windows, teak floors and rugs all nod to the golden era. On the menu, meanwhile, classics rub shoulders with novel creations. Green lobster two ways juxtaposes smoky caramelisation from wok-frying with wine aromas and the clean taste of the steamed crustacean on egg white custard. Their smoked barbecue pork is another must-try (you need to pre-order). Try their tea-infused cocktails, too!

Review summary
Spring Moon, located in The Peninsula Hotel, is a highly acclaimed Cantonese restaurant with a Michelin star. Reviews frequently praise its impeccable service, elegant 1920s-inspired atmosphere, and exquisite dishes like Peking duck and dim sum. However, negative feedback highlights inconsistent food quality, particularly regarding seafood soups, and issues such as uncomfortable seating near air conditioning vents. Some guests also find the high price point unjustified given the experience. While many consider it a top-tier dining destination, others report disappointment in value and execution.
Best for
Suitable for diners seeking refined Cantonese cuisine and an elegant setting, though checking seat comfort and managing price expectations is advised.
