Description
Here in this famous wine-growing village, diners are swept along by the enthusiasm and talent of the young owners, Camille and Soufiane, and their lovely dishes, such as pearlescent monkfish with peas, romaine lettuce and a liver-infused jus. The carefully selected ingredients are sourced locally as far as possible: heirloom tomatoes from a neighbouring market gardener, organic black pork from the Dordogne, verbena from the garden etc. In fine weather, you can sit out in the pretty little courtyard.

Review summary
Located in Saint-Émilion, L'Huitrier Pie specializes in modern cuisine. Most reviews highlight high food quality, subtle flavors, and creative preparations, complemented by professional, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere, including an outdoor courtyard. However, a minority of negative feedback cites significant issues with meal pacing, such as excessively long waits, and isolated incidents involving hygiene concerns (flies) and poor-tasting dishes. While a few guests questioned the value, the restaurant maintains an impressive 4.8/5 average rating based on 80 reviews. It is generally recommended for diners seeking refined culinary experiences, though those sensitive to service delays or strict hygiene standards may wish to exercise caution.
Best for
Suitable for diners seeking refined modern French cuisine who can tolerate occasional service fluctuations.
