Description
In the centre of the village, this half-timbered house dating from 1647 is a real gem. It is home to this restaurant run by Anita and Stefan Schleier with great dedication since 2001. The cosy atmosphere and traditional decor are as compelling as the ambitious Mediterranean cuisine based on carefully selected seasonal produce. Review summary
Located in Vallendar, Die Traube specializes in seasonal and Mediterranean cuisine, holding a strong 4.6/5 rating. Reviews highlight professional service, an elegant atmosphere, and accommodating options for vegetarians and vegans. Food quality is generally praised, with traditional dishes prepared to a high standard and generous side portions. However, some negative feedback cites slow pacing, overly salty or heavily spiced mains that mask ingredients, and a limited menu. While the ambiance and service are consistently noted as positives, value for money is occasionally questioned. It remains a solid choice for those seeking refined local dining.
