The exclusive Palais Coburg houses one of Vienna's premier dining destinations, a culinary hotspot for many years running. This beacon of vegetarian gourmet cuisine proposes a set menu with six or eight courses that can also be vegan. Signature dishes are available for expansion. The depth of flavour in the dishes such as "chioggia, radish, juneberry" or "king oyster mushroom, pumpkin, elderflower" is down to the technical prowess of the chef duo Paul Ivić and Florian Burtscher, as well as the fantastic quality of the ingredients, which are seasonal and locally sourced. In Konstantin Filippou's elaborate tasting menu, the spotlight is firmly on fish and seafood, with meat largely absent or relegated to a supporting role. The clean, minimalist design immediately catches the eye, as do the striking brick arches overhead. Seated at attractive solid wood tables in a pleasantly relaxed setting, diners have a clear view into the open kitchen – and they can see just how dedicated Fabian Günzel and his team are!
