Facing the monumental Plateresque façade of the church of the Convento de San Esteban, iconic for its stone altarpiece design, and wit two dining rooms featuring a contemporary atmosphere, the main one with an open kitchen to enjoy the different creative processes as they happen. Here the chef Rocío Parra, always well supported in the dining room and in the wine cellar by her husband (Alberto Rodríguez), remains faithful to a modern cuisine with local and traditional roots. Her proposal focuses on two tasting menus, Granito and Pizarra, whose name is a small tribute to the characteristics of t

In a location opposite the Palacio de Congresos de Castilla y León that is relatively easy to find despite being away from the city’s main tourist haunts, Víctor Gutiérrez, a chef who admits to having a 'Spanish soul and a Peruvian heart', showcases cuisine based around three strong principles: ingredients, technique and feeling. Now, ably supported in the kitchen by his daughters (Paula as head chef and Andrea as maître d'), he offers a fairly limited à la carte service and a single tasting menu called Raíces (14 courses) which reveal his full passion and an unquestionable splash of creativit

In a town such as Hervás that is so popular with tourists, it is always encouraging to find a restaurant like this offering contemporary dining but without completely sidelining traditional cuisine. Located along a pedestrianised street in the centre of town, it boasts a summer terrace, a bar counter, and a dining room on two floors. They offer updated traditional cuisine that always celebrates Valle del Ambroz produce, with a seasonal menu (notable for its fish of the day) and two tasting menus (L and XL). What to try? A modern gastro-bar with the soul of a restaurant located just a few metres from the city’s iconic Plaza Mayor. At Bambú, the open kitchen, traditional cuisine and grilled dishes reinterpreted from a more contemporary perspective are the main highlights, although you’ll also find hints of fusion and strong flavours from other parts of the world. Choose between tapas, half-plates and dishes designed for sharing, alongside an interesting tasting menu. Dishes we can recommend include the classic truffled duck egg, the highly original chicken chilli doughnut, the braised avocado with pipirrana, an

At Don Fadrique, there’s a commonsense approach to the cuisine that makes its way from the kitchen to the table. This is showcased on an à la carte (including half portions), with an updated take on traditional cooking and a focus on the seasons, and two tasting menus: “Sabor de la Memoria”, with its homage to tradition and top-quality ingredients (including grilled fish and meat), and Instinto, a more personal and modern option which gives free rein to the chef’s creativity (prior booking required). The chef also presents and serves many of the dishes himself.

This house, located in the heart of Campo Charro, has been in the hands of the same family... since 1916! Here, each dish is a tribute to the land and the efforts of those who cultivate or work it, always with great dedication and an unequivocal dose of passion. The chef at the helm, Cristina Martín, builds her proposal around the best produce, seasonality and the authenticity of the flavours that come from nature, so that we can enjoy gastronomy in its purest state!

A unique restaurant in a beautiful natural setting within the walls of an authentic castle. Its traditional à la carte showcases a contemporary touch in signature recipes such as the traditional mashed potato dish known as “revolconas” served with pork tongue, fried bacon and green peppers, and the delicious “Charra veal” oxtail meatballs stuffed with chestnuts. A daily menu is also available midweek between October and June. Take advantage of your visit to explore the local interpretation centre on medieval and monastic life.

Here, the Mirasierra restaurant, which has been in business for over five decades and boasts an exterior in perfect harmony with the buildings around it, is a good option in which to recharge your batteries. Here, you can choose between the traditionally inspired à la carte (on which the stews and roasted and grilled dishes stand out) and a tasting menu option. Enjoy stunning views from the rear dining room.
