The experience begins with the impressive drive up to the Falkenstein! Nestled between the peaks of the Allgäu Alps, the Boutique Hotel Blaue Burg is only accessible via a private road – and the view is breathtaking! The small restaurant is where Simon Schlachter wins diners over with a modern and creative dining concept revolving around sharing. All the elaborate courses that make up his set menu consist of several small dishes – perfect for sharing. Numerous components merge to create flavoursome plates – subtle Asian influences are evident throughout, but regional and classic accents also m

Reference to a farm in the centre of the village first appears in records in 1764; many years later it was taken over by the Morent family and became a village inn. Now the presence of daughter Lisa and her partner Nicolas Haut is like a breath of fresh air. Their seasonal cuisine is made from high-quality, predominantly regional produce, and served as a three-, four- or five-course set menu. The space has a rustic-style wooden ceiling and a beautifully sleek and modern feel. Per sitting, this amiable couple can accommodate 20 diners, who are treated to cordial and attentive service. Even the drive up to the Boutique Hotel Blaue Burg is an exceptional experience: the view of the region is breathtaking, with a new photo opportunity at every turn. Against this sensational backdrop, the Schlachter family, known for their dedication to the job and their reliably good food, serves seasonally and regionally minded cuisine at Restaurant 1250 – making it a wonderful alternative to the fine dining restaurant, PAVO. The terrace with a view in the direction of the castle and Austria is simply divine. Good to know: they also serve lunch.
