Grad Inn Boutique Villa Suite Marjoram

A bright and airy restaurant situated slightly away from the centre, where a couple of well-established professionals (Jan front of house and Vjekoslav in the kitchen) serve fresh fish and seafood dishes sourced daily from the fish market. The menu features colourful, generously portioned dishes accompanied by a wine list which focuses on Slovenia, yet also includes labels from Italy, Croatia and France (with champagne from the latter).

Set slightly apart from the centre but easily reached by car, Kogo – “cook” in the Istrian dialect – welcomes guests in a modern and carefully finished setting: to the right of the entrance lies the elegant wine shop, to the left the restaurant, with its contemporary lines and design accents. The cuisine, firmly anchored in tradition, is presented with a current approach: alongside a generous selection of local and non-local charcuterie and cheeses, meat dishes predominate, with occasional forays into seafood. A sound wine list, available on tablet, completes the offering.

The Luciano restaurant (named after its main supplier of fresh vegetables) has a welcoming ambience with fine views of the surrounding countryside from its outdoor terrace. Prepared using carefully chosen, top-quality ingredients, the dishes served here are available via an à la carte or on tasting menus of varying lengths. The open grill at this restaurant is a regular feature, delighting guests with a wide array of top-quality meat dishes. The large picture windows boast fine views of the surrounding hills, giving guests the pleasant sensation of dining outdoors. There’s also a second dining room with a cosy, minimalist feel, which is perfect for winter evenings. Local, seasonal ingredients take centre stage her

Situated in the green heart of Istria, this long-established, family-run hotel-restaurant boasts a welcoming dining room plus an attractive summer terrace looking out at the countryside. The regional cuisine served here closely follows the seasons, with game, mushrooms and truffles making an appearance in autumn, and vegetables and fresh cheeses in spring. Throughout the year, you can enjoy delicious Istrian hams and homemade pasta, including the tasty asparagus-filled ravioli served with grilled asparagus.

The position is undoubtedly one of the restaurant’s greatest assets: directly facing the marina, with large windows overlooking the sea. The kitchen, firmly oriented towards seafood, is fresh, careful, and genuine, in the spirit of “from the sea to the plate.” The menu follows the availability of the day, in full respect of seasonality and the catch. Shellfish, reef fish, and pasta dishes with original dressings compose an offering that is classic yet full of taste, further elevated by the use of local extra-virgin olive oil, also from the restaurant’s own production.

This romantic hotel-restaurant occupies an elegant stone building in a typical small Istrian village just a few kilometres from the sea. Take a seat in what was once the wine cellar or outdoors on the summer terrace, where you’ll enjoy well-crafted, creative dishes that are full of flavour and made from top-quality local, seasonal ingredients, with a choice of meat and fish dishes, as well as a 5-course vegetarian menu. In autumn, the menu is enhanced by delicacies such as truffles, mushrooms and game. Guided tastings of the restaurant’s own extra-virgin olive oil can be enjoyed in the oil bou
