Alma

A potted history of the location that now houses Alma: It was once home to De Swaen, the restaurant where renowned chef Cas Spijkers, was awarded one and then two MICHELIN stars. Today, Wouter van Laarhoven is upholding the establishment tradition of excellence. You enter through the vibrant Alma Bodega on the ground floor to reach the fine dining restaurant on the first floor. This stylish, refined establishment that exudes modern sophistication is complemented by a magnificent terrace overlooking the Lind. Chef Van Laarhoven pours his soul (alma in Spanish) into each dish, combining inventiv

Are those UFOs on Bernardus golf course? It may look like that, but this futuristic building actually houses a beautifully designed restaurant that exudes casual luxury. The terrace overlooking the golfing greens is simply divine! Each description of the dishes on the extensive menu is more tempting than the last. You will want to try everything! Chef Schoonus and his team incorporate a nod to various Asian cuisines in their dishes. Start off with a few amuse-bouches and some fabulous sushi, then continue, for instance, with succulent grilled sole elevated by orange salt and a kimchi-infused b

Upon entering the 17C Villa Bleijenburg, you choose: left for the easygoing gastrobar serving elegant small plates and the ever-classic sole meunière throughout the day, or right for a more upscale fine dining experience with a multi-course set menu or small à la carte selection. Both sleek, stylish spaces overlook the central kitchen, where Dennis Middeldorp demonstrates his ability to effortlessly combine classical expertise with creative ideas, a love for the fresh vibrancy of Asian cuisine and respect for the principles of Dutch Cuisine. To brighten up a rich terrine of smoked eel and foie

Modern French, Asian Influences

Elise and Jurgen have transformed a charming cottage into a cosy living room-style restaurant, welcoming diners with genuine hospitality. The chef only serves a surprise menu, which he executes masterfully. Expect no gimmicks, but rather carefully crafted dishes with occasional influences from far-flung places. For instance, he combines pickled salmon with the earthy sweetness of beetroot and the umami of miso. Be sure to try the cheese board – a delicious way to discover the inspiration behind the restaurant's name.

A visit to this medieval castle (1257) is an experience in itself. The wooded surroundings, the drawbridge, the courtyard… This is a truly romantic setting, further elevated by a gorgeous terrace overlooking the moat. Inside, all that historical character meets with modern comfort. The imposing fireplace and the portrait of the knight Van Maurick holding a smartphone immediately catch the eye. The menu may seem classical at first glance, but it features inventive dishes in which Dutch produce is given a French twist. Think North Sea crab salad with cucumber sorbet and jus, celery oil, pickled

With the mixologist doing their thing behind the imposing bar, the hip CouCou is reminiscent of a London cocktail bar. Whether you prefer to watch the chefs work their magic or enjoy a more intimate meal, this chic establishment has the perfect table for you. The wide range of sharing options on the menu is equally appealing and on trend. These are inspired by French and Mediterranean cuisines and given an original twist. Take the beautifully crispy fried lobster and prawn roulade finished with a lobster bisque gel and velvety pine nut cream. Délicieux !

Noble Gastro House

Noble Gastro House is both inviting and sleek, and a seat at the bar is perfect for watching the kitchen team up close. This is the kind of place where anything goes. Whether you're in the market for a quick bite or a multi-course dinner, you call the shots here! The set menu features a variety of interesting dishes, many of which can be ordered as either half or full portions. Monkfish fillet with an exquisite verjus beurre blanc, or al dente asparagus with morels that have been tossed in veal jus, accompanied by a buttery sauce with the subtle tartness of rhubarb: the familiar and the daring

Martin Berkelmans has a passion for vegetables. He sources them from a food forest and a local farm and likes to experiment with them in his fermentation lab. The versatility of vegetables makes his dishes both playful and intriguing – they dictate the culinary direction, although meat and fish are also incorporated into his cooking. The succulent partridge breast and the rich stew are elevated to new heights with parsley root, a vegetable and walnut purée and a robust sauce featuring cassis for a sweet-and-sour note. The slightly industrial feel and organic vibe lend this inviting restaurant
