La Table des Amis

Christophe Bacquié greets diners like old friends in his gorgeous farmhouse set in peaceful countryside, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields. With his wife Alexandra and a closeknit, committed team, all of whom share his passion for Southern France and its produce and wines, Bacquié unfolds a single set menu with a strong Mediterranean identity. With flavour as his watchword, he crafts the finest ingredients simply and transparently and we were delighted to see some of his signature dishes, such as his modern aioli and his vision of iced Calisson, in pride of place on the

Delicate and decidedly creative cuisine based on good regional ingredients: this restaurant surrounded by vines and cherry trees is a real find. Try the surprise menu, inspired by the offerings of the markets and small-scale local producers. The chef-patron takes care of everything himself, both in the dining room and the kitchen. Special mention for the peaceful terrace, where you can hear the cicadas' call.

This iconic Luberon restaurant is run by a talented team headed up by chef Noël Bérard. His modernised take on Provençal cuisine finds joyful expression in two tasting menus, one of which focuses on plants. High-quality ingredients (including veal from Gordes, trout from the River Sorgue, oysters from the Camargue, pork from Monteux etc), bold sauces and jus and a delicate style. There is a magnificent terrace from which you can admire the sunset. Also of note in this enchanting setting in the heart of Provence is the wood-fired cooking at La Bergerie, and of course the comfortable guestrooms

Chef Julien Allano (La Mirande, Le Clair de la Plume) chose to go it alone and set up shop in this beautiful traditional building in the heart of the village. In an interior with exposed stonework, the chef can be seen at work behind a wooden counter. Meanwhile, guests are seated on handcrafted furnishings made of untreated walnut wood – a decor that oozes style. The carte blanche menu, which is divided into several sections, reflects the season from day to day. Heirloom varieties of wheat, peanuts from Malataverne, green beans from a neighbouring farm and pigeon from Sarrians are just some of

Taking in the Luberon and the famous ochre cliffs of Roussillon, the view from this restaurant is nothing short of spectacular! As for the food, the short, seasonal menu proposes bistronomy-style dishes with Provençal influences: crispy aubergine, baba ganoush with coriander and fromage blanc with lime; grilled Ventoux pork, peppers stuffed with Coco de Paimpol beans, piperade and apricot condiment; Musquée de Provence pumpkin confit with vanilla, sponge cake with pistachios. A moment of culinary bliss far from the crowds of tourists.

At the foot of Roussillon village, this picturesque dry-stone house proposes Provençal-inspired food in an enticing menu in which fresh produce is a major component. The restaurant’s pride and joy is its second terrace overlooking the wonderful Luberon countryside.

The bistro offshoot of La Bastide de Capelongue combines a terrace that commands jaw-dropping views with a seasonal menu that spans Provençal recipes to dishes cooked over the wood burning fire in the rustic dining room. The expertise of the crack kitchen team is flawless.

When you name your bistro after your dog, it immediately wins people over! Here in the heart of the village, Antoine James and Sarah Mottay welcome diners into a space that exudes character, with terracotta-tiled floors, stone walls and a beamed ceiling. The chef rustles up enticing cuisine centred on local produce, with a Mediterranean lilt, but also other influences from around the world, for example Latin American: tiradito of yellowtail with lime and ginger, perfectly paired with a yellow pepper coulis. Laid-back service, welcoming little terrace.
