Elegance and refinement run throughout the luxurious Dollenberg resort, set in an idyllic Black Forest landscape, and find their finest expression in the classically appointed fine dining restaurant. In his five- to eight-course set menu, Martin Herrmann places exceptional ingredients centre stage with precision, restraint and superb balance, while weaving in exciting modern touches. Chef Markus Klein and his wife put their heart and soul into running this restaurant. In a spruce rustic-style decor – or out on the lovely terrace in summer – friendly waitstaff serve up delicious regional and seasonal cuisine made using good-quality ingredients. House specialties include golden trout and brown trout, sourced from Lohmühle trout farm in Alpirsbach. Good to know: Hot meals are served from noon to 8pm. Tip for overnight guests: Ask for the "Wohlfühl" or "Komfort" guestrooms.

The diversity of the Bareiss culinary empire knows no bounds! The historic and idyllically located Forellenhof has been transformed into a charming restaurant open to all-comers from 11:30 am to 5: 30 pm, Fridays from 11:30 am. to 10 pm. The emphasis here is on freshwater fish – from their own fish farm – but they also serve snacks. Tip: you can buy fresh fish in the Forellenlädle (9am-noon).
