Château Attisholz - Le feu
French, Contemporary · ★ Michelin
€€€€
This is a rather grand establishment located just outside Riedholz. A truly splendid historical property houses the exquisitely elegant and tastefully designed fine dining restaurant Le feu, with the garden and courtyard outside being a draw in themselves. Chef-patron Jörg Slaschek proposes a sophisticated modern-classical set menu, but there is also an à la carte selection. It goes without saying that the Bavarian-born chef uses only select produce. A well-curated selection of European wines makes for the perfect accompaniment to your meal. Overnight accommodation is also available: There are

With this brasserie, the Châeau Attisholz presents a chic alternative to its fine dining restaurant (Le feu). Contemporary design meets a period cross-vaulted ceiling and pillars made of 18C Solothurn stone to form a harmonious whole. The menu features fresh seasonal cuisine rooted in classic recipes, with a preference for regional produce. At lunchtime, the options are reduced to a two-course set menu, to which a dessert can be added. There are elegant spaces on the first floor for events. Comfortable overnight accommodation available.

Le Restaurant

The stylish restaurant of the tasteful and historical La Couronne hotel not only has a unique atmosphere but also promises exquisite French and Swiss-inspired cuisine served by a friendly and attentive front-of-house team. The location in the old town, nestled beside Kathedrale St Ursen, is a draw in itself; the terrace in front of the hotel makes for a delightful spot in which to "see and be seen" – especially during a romantic sunset. The wine list comprises some 150 moderately priced labels and includes a decent selection of half bottles. The fantastic wine bar is ideal for a nightcap. Smal

An attractive blend of urban cool and historical ambiance is the backdrop here and the exposed old brickwork certainly adds to the effect! On regular evenings, the kitchen serves up regionally inspired dishes with an international twist, either as a three- to five-course set menu or à la carte. Classics include, for example, hand-cut Irish beef fillet tartare. Thursday evenings are dedicated to Japanese fusion cuisine. More limited options at lunchtime. Attentive, charming and adept service. Thanks to the beautiful location in the Old Town, right by the Aare River, tables on the waterfront ter

This restaurant in the middle of the old town is not only steeped in history, it is also a treat for epicureans. Top-notch, down-to-earth cooking, staff who go the extra mile and a buzzing atmosphere make for a perfect dining experience. While Tamara Bader heads up the service team with effortless charm, her husband Stefan whips us delectable dishes rooted in classic tradition. Think pan-fried sweetbreads with mashed potato, spring vegetables and a morel sauce. House classics such as the cordon bleu are also in high demand. The impressive wine list is dedicated to Swiss, French and Italian lab

The 14th generation of the same family is at the helm of this gorgeous traditional Bernese inn – it was first documented in 1261. Whether you eat in the pretty, inviting dining area or the lovely garden, you will be treated to friendly service and delicious food with a traditional regional character. One speciality of the house is the Solothurner Wy-Süppli (wine soup). The chef will be happy to explain the origins of their rather special "Bärechöpfli" dessert. Slightly reduced menu at lunchtime. There are also stylish salons.

Modern Cuisine, Creative · ★ Michelin

A great example of how a refined setting and fine cuisine are by no means mutually exclusive – and how the combination brings real joy to the many regulars it attracts to the restaurant. In one of Burgdorf's oldest establishments (an inn dating back to 1716), bistro tables foster a relaxed and informal atmosphere; the service is cordial, professional and well-organised. Notwithstanding the history of the building, the food served here is decidedly modern! Lukas Kiener cooks in a contemporary, creative and seasonal style, delivering well-balanced dishes that make a statement. He likes to source

There has been a restaurant here since 1870, and the current owners, the dedicated Meier family, have retained the restaurant's traditional feel while also introducing contemporary influences. This is reflected in the flavoursome cuisine, which keeps many regulars coming back. Diners can choose a fine dining set menu of three to five courses – for example, Swiss Alpine salmon from Lostallo with fregola sarda and champagne-saffron sauce – or order à la carte, from classics such as veal cordon bleu to Indian curry with paneer, vegetables and jasmine rice. A well-chosen wine list complements the
