First things first: be sure to make a reservation, because this place is in high demand! Owned by the same family since 1870, this restaurant is now in its sixth generation. They are passionate about cooking, and use fresh produce sourced almost entirely from regional suppliers to serve up locally sourced cuisine at reasonable prices. The delicious dishes cooked up by the chef showcase his experience in fine dining. In addition to the appealing à la carte options, a seasonal three-course set menu is also on offer. The ambience is cosy and rustic; in summer the terrace commands lovely views of Nieder-Moos. Five guestrooms and a holiday apartment are available for overnight stays.

The inscription "1906" is still to be seen above the timeworn arch at the entrance of this building in the centre of the old town. Having been completely gutted and meticulously rebuilt, the property now houses an invitingly chic, modern restaurant with large windows and an impressive open kitchen. The sophisticated dishes seamlessly highlight select ingredients with modern accents. Diners are offered a choice of various set menus; individual courses can also be ordered à la carte. Recommendations from the short, well curated wine list are always spot on. There is also a brasserie under the sa
