In the Vigevano countryside, a rustic farmhouse with a portico, almost a private villa, welcomes guests amid antique furniture and paintings by local artists adorning the walls. Enrico Gerli, alongside his wife who oversees the dining room, has since 1989 been dedicated to a classic-modern cuisine executed with commitment and professionalism. He knows the Lombard area intimately, yet proves equally at ease with seafood preparations. Among the specialties are duck and goose, animals typical of the area, which appear in various dishes: a foie gras composition among the starters, braised duck tor

On a charming piazza presided over by an elm tree and a seventeenth-century church, tables in two of the three dining rooms overlook the scene, while the contemporary elegance of D’O unfolds inside. Chef Davide Oldani, now a defining figure of Italian cuisine, crafts dishes that distill twenty years of work and formative experiences, including memorable stints with Marchesi and Ducasse. Creative ideas rooted in Italian taste, impeccable technique, and presentations that are both essential and playfully pop: as exemplified by the Cuttlefish in its ink with pickled porcini and dill. Osteria Bar Sport

In what was once a typical sports bar, the friendly owner-chef serves home-style cuisine featuring traditional dishes from Monferrato and further afield. Don’t miss his plin pasta served with a roast meat sauce and a delicate cream of leeks, cotechino sausage and raw Mazara prawns. The atmosphere here is pleasantly informal and relaxed.

Locanda Sant'Uffizio Enrico Bartolini
Piedmontese, Modern Cuisine · ★★ Michelin

Nestled amid the picturesque hills of the Monferrato region, this restaurant overseen by multi-Michelin-starred Enrico Bartolini sees Gabriele Boffa at the helm in the kitchen, a chef who is young in years but already a real connoisseur of Piedmontese cuisine. With experience in some of the world’s best restaurants behind him, Boffa has accumulated expert knowledge and remarkable technical skills. His cuisine ranges from classic regional dishes interpreted in their purest form – such as his extraordinary agnolotti del plin – to more creative options, which demonstrate a connection with the reg

Enrico Bartolini al Mudec

In his Milanese restaurant, the headquarters of the Bartolini international galaxy, the great chef – far from taking a break – continues to craft new dishes alongside resident chef Davide Boglioli, always focusing on fullness and intensity of flavors. There's nothing overly cerebral, though you can delve into the layers, references, and echoes if you wish. Or simply enjoy the perfect balance of the results. There are two tasting options: "Best Of" and "Mudec Experience," but dishes can also be selected à la carte. During our last visit, we were particularly struck by the creaminess and harmony

Olmo

Olmo takes its name from the large elm tree that stands in the centre of Cornaredo’s small square, a symbol of the town’s pedestrianised area. This new restaurant opened by chef Davide Oldani has just three tables, which can be pushed together to accommodate a maximum of 14 guests, plus an open-view kitchen. The tasting menu here showcases the chef’s creative, modern dishes which focus on seasonal ingredients, balance and an attractive play between texture and temperature. Riccardo Merli is the young, talented resident chef who, having gained experience in renowned French restaurants as well a

Now housed within Tenuta Riccagioia (the region’s agricultural research facility), two elegant and modern dining rooms with large windows overlook the internal courtyard directly. The chef’s cuisine aims to be territorial, though it willingly wanders along the peninsula with excellent lamb culurgiones. Additionally, there’s Sicilian extra virgin olive oil from Castelvetrano, outstanding bread service, and intriguing desserts. Among the must-tries is certainly the local duck, flavored with rhubarb, wild garlic cream, and coffee jus, prepared in traditional fashion. Wine is a beautiful chapter u
