The setting could not be more charming: a gorgeous centuries-old Black Forest house with a cosy, rustic-looking interior. As for the food, top-notch seasonal ingredients from the region and the seasons go into flavoursome dishes. Attentive service. The well-kept guestrooms don't have TV, but in this idyllic village setting, you'd rather enjoy the peace and quiet anyway!

In cosy traditional dining rooms, friendly and professional waitstaff serve dishes such as medium-rare topside of veal with coleslaw, pickled onions, chive cream and mustard gherkins, or pan-fried cod fillet with gremolata, asparagus, pea purée and gnocchi. The menu also features Zwiebelrostbraten (sirloin steak with crispy fried onions and gravy), schnitzel and other classics. The kitchen prioritises regional ingredients, and the water comes straight from the property's own mountain sp
