Opened in 1972 and now run by the third generation of the family, the restaurant surprises guests with its modern, minimalist design and large glass walls that flood the rooms with natural light, from the moment they step inside. The names Fuchs and Zach are shorthand for a successful combination of creative cuisine and tailored wine recommendations. Gerhard Fuchs brings exceptional depth of flavour to his dishes, drawing on his wealth of culinary experience. Premium ingredients are prepared without any fuss, particularly exemplified by the "Dotterraviolo" – featuring wafer-thin pasta cooked al dente and filled with a wonderfully creamy egg yolk that is aromatic and bursts with colour. This has been a house classic and signature dish for years! There is no à la carte selection, just a surprise menu – available in a lon

The ascent to Grad Tabor castle in Laško, founded in the thirteenth century and, after centuries of history and varied use, transformed today into a gastronomic restaurant of romantic fascination, is well worth making. In this suggestive setting, self-taught chef Marko Pavčnik expresses a cuisine that is personal and unmistakable, little influenced by passing trends, and capable of celebrating the territory with creativity and contemporary sensitivity. Great attention is paid to quality and sustainability: local ingredients, often sourced from an organic farm, foraging, and whole-animal cooker

The setting could not be more charming! This wonderful historical rectory, whose foundation walls date back to the 13C, nestles in a tranquil spot overlooked by the parish church. Your dedicated hosts, Lisa Gasser and Harald Irka, run this culinary gem together with their outstanding little team.
