Steeped in history, Gut Panker is a truly idyllic spot. The tranquil estate is the epitome of rural charm and is also known as a Trakehner stud farm – it forms the perfect backdrop for Hotel & Restaurant Ole Liese. The motto "Sunday cooking. Every day" underpins a menu of regional seasonal fare, which is served in the cosy, rustic interior, or out on the lovely terrace in summer. In addition, the estate's pretty café in the old night watchman's lodge serves coffee and cake from 2-5pm, and on Sundays, brunch is available by prior reservation. The beachside location is simply idyllic – you can't get much closer to the Baltic Sea! In this restaurant at the Weissenhaus Private Nature Luxury Resort, diners are shown to their tables in a modern interior with a glazed façade that affords fantastic views. But it is of course the terrace that is the top attraction! The food is a fresh blend of Mediterranean fare – somewhat simpler at lunchtime, more sophisticated in the evening, from classic dishes to elegant culinary compositions. Service runs from 12:00 to 17:00, and in the evening (by reservation) from 18:00 to 21:30.

The former cowshed of the beautifully renovated historical Immenhof estate houses this charming alternative to the Rodesand restaurant. The cuisine, made with top-quality, fresh produce, is traditional, regional and seasonal. Holstein-style sour meat is one of the classics on the menu. The 48hr-braised beef cheek and baked pike dumplings are also sure to whet the appetite. Vegetarian options are available too. The food is complemented by friendly service and a cosy, rustic atmosphere – the open fireplace is a nice touch. In summer, make a beeline for the terrace, which overlooks the lake. Good

In an idyllic lakeside location by the Kellersee, this estate was made famous by the German cult film series Immenhof. Nowadays, within the pretty white walls of the manor house, diners tuck into ambitious fish and vegetarian/vegan dishes, such as "beetroot, buckwheat, calamansi, dill" or "Lofoten skrei, monk's beard, verjus, capers, chorizo". Choose between the set menu and individual dishes à la carte. The grilled fish options are sure to whet the appetite. The interior design is delightful: With seven tables, the main room has an elegant, modern feel. There are also two private dining space
