Allegra House
In a quiet position high on the hill overlooking Paihia and the ocean, Allegra House is a wonderful place to stay in the heart of the Bay of Islands. It is only a five minute walk downhill in to the town, and it is also close to the passenger ferry across the historic town of Russell. The guest suites all have modern stylish furnishings, sunny seating areas and they all share a common lounge on the first floor. The top floor suites have an ensuite bathroom with shower, and a super king bed, whilst the island suite has a queen bed and an ensuite shower room. The self-contained apartment is spacious and light, and comprises of a king bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and dining area. The whole property faces the ocean, and all rooms open on to the decks, taking in the views and leading down to the gardens. Continental breakfast is included, and served in the first-floor dining area.

Guests praise the stunning bay views, spotless rooms, and exceptional hospitality from hosts Heinz and Brita. Homemade breakfast is highly rated. The main drawback is the steep hill location, making walks back to town tiring.

One-Bedroom Apartment with Sea View
The open plan living area has a leather lounge suite, dining table, full kitchen with oven, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of utensils. The room opens onto a covered balcony with views out to sea and plenty of space to relax and eat. The bathroom is accessible from both the lounge and bedroom. There is room to have a single bed set up, on request, in this area for a third person or for separate sleeping area for two people. Breakfast is not included in the room rate for the apartment but is an optional extra that you can request in a message or email - $25 per person or, in most cases - on arrival.
