IL Sommelier

Behind the unassuming façade of a modern building in the Trudering district, this is a real gem of a restaurant. In the chic, contemporary space, diners are served authentic, flavoursome, down-to-earth cucina italiana. The dishes on the menu are sophisticated but not pretentious, and include tortelli with a cheese and aubergine filling or beef cheek braised with sweet potato mash. The wine list features Italian wines exclusively. In summer, the quiet terrace to the rear of the property beckons.

Dishes are freshly prepared with great care and technical skill. Mouthwatering examples include poulet noir with swede, cabbage and capers, or golden trout with borscht broth, sweet pepper, lángos and chervil. Lunch features a streamlined me
