Vous
Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin
€€€€
A charming house, typical of the sort you find in the heart of Megève, a refined decor with an abundance of wood, an elegant counter seating 14 diners: a warm welcome awaits you at Vous! Under the guidance of Julien Gatillon, young chef Jean Pastre delights diners with modern cuisine prepared before their eyes. The finest produce, both local and from further afield, features in dishes such as confit trout with hogweed-scented mousseline and Melba toast; flame-cooked langoustine, celery, hazelnut and boutargue; roast Dombes duck, beetroot, carrot and concentrated jus... La Table de l'Alpaga
Creative · ★ Michelin
€€€€
Take your time to settle in at your table in this stylish but snug space, in which marble and oak create an authentic and timeless decor. In the fine dining restaurant, chef Alexandre Baule (originally from Isère) brings vegetables to the fore in his bid to elevate Savoie produce. The bistro, open every evening for dinner, rolls out classics: Magland snails, delicately smoked Savoie chestnuts and spruce, or pot-au-feu-style beef with faux filet, tongue and ravioles. Comfortable guestrooms fitted out in chalets await, should you wish to extend your stay.

Breizh Café Megève
Crêpe · Bib
€€
In the heart of the village, on the pedestrian street next to the church where a large Christmas tree is erected in winter, this converted chalet is home to an authentic Breton eatery. Yvon Madec oysters are served alongside Breton pancakes – buckwheat galettes and wheat flour crêpes – enhanced with Japanese or Savoyard touches, for instance "Breizh Roll" with Reblochon cheese, or raw milk raclette galette. Locally sourced produce, cheese from a refiner in nearby Manigod and a fine selection of ciders and wines… plus wallet-friendly prices.

Traditional Cuisine
€€
Set beside a lake and boasting a magnificent view of Mont Blanc, this chalet has a resolutely understated decor. On the menu, traditional cuisine is given free rein, in dishes such as slow-cooked egg, lentils, smoked diot (pork sausages from the regional repertoire) and a bacon emulsion, or beef bourguignon. In fact, the chef won a competition with his pâté en croûte.

Traditional Cuisine
€€€
From the threshold of this listed 19C farmhouse, you can see Mont Blanc on the horizon. With its mountain-style interior (wood panelling, whitewashed walls, parquet flooring) and traditional cuisine by Florent Meyer (who has worked with Flocons de Sel chef Emmanuel Renaut), the restaurant is an instant hit… This is thanks, in particular, to the vin jaune sauce that envelops the delicious free-range chicken supreme, or the moreish tartiflette with a nod to the village's terroir – a signature starter. Plus a warm welcome awaits you!

Under the same roof as Vous but upstairs, this light wooden counter serves traditional Japanese fare. All the nigiri, California rolls, sashimi, maki, tempura and gyoza are crafted with top-drawer ingredients, such as wagyu beef or Otoro tuna belly. Bento at lunchtime.

Le Prieuré
Traditional Cuisine
€€€
On the main square in the heart of Megève, next to the church, this former priory was transformed into a restaurant back in 1930. Today, in a cosy alpine setting, Emmanuel Renaut offers his take on the traditional bistro repertoire : mountain cheese tart, ravioli with vegetable consommé, beef tartare, perch from the lake... The establishment also boasts a spacious terrace.

Le Saint-Nicolas - Au Coin du Feu
Creative
€€€€
In this picturesque Savoie chalet on the heights of Megève, a wood-rich, rustic-chic dining area provides the perfect foil for a modern score that highlights cherry-picked ingredients: black truffle-perfumed cannelloni stuffed with artichoke and foie gras and baked with mature parmesan; fillet of aged beef from Maison Bello, laced with juniper berry, potato gateau, Mondeuse jus and marrow bone.
