This fine-dining restaurant housed in the 18C Palazzo Bentivoglio Bargellini is part of the luxurious Palazzo di Varignana resort (with which it shares the Il Grifone symbol), the latter also home to a farm producing olive oil, wine and fruit. In the evening, choose between two tasting menus and an à la carte offering a selection of meat and fish dishes on which the modern recipes feature a careful balance of colours and flavours.

Named after the village’s former postman, an important and charismatic character in this small community, this former workers’ club is housed in a rustic restaurant with a beautiful porch where you sit in summer beneath cooling fans. The cuisine steps away from local tradition to offer creative yet never overly fanciful dishes which are always generous and beautifully presented. There’s been a recent change in management at this informal, friendly restaurant which serves generously portioned, carefully prepared dishes from the region and elsewhere in Italy, all at highly competitive prices. Although the cuisine might not be particularly modern, this is good solid cuisine served in a welcoming atmosphere.

Although this restaurant is not in the centre, if you’re looking for excellent fish (mostly from the Mediterranean) personally selected by the owner - chef, then it’s well worth the few minutes it takes to find a parking space here. Beautifully cooked food, which is simply prepared using top - quality produce.
