Guest scores & sentiment
From 85 guest reviews · multi-source · as of 2026-07-19
Guests frequently praise the friendly staff, good food, flexible event spaces, and peaceful garden setting. However, the property feels dated, with several rooms needing renovation. Large seminars and weddings often strain staffing, leading to chaotic service, slow meal delivery, and inadequate buffet replenishment. Soundproofing is weak, especially for highway-facing rooms. The experience varies significantly depending on event schedules.

This restaurant is part of the Edhofer family's organic farm, nestled in the heart of the little village. The welcoming atmosphere can be attributed in no small part to your gracious and attentive hostess, Angelika Edhofer, whose passion for hospitality is shared by chefs Fabian Schasching and Max Eichberger. Highly skilled and dedicated, they masterfully bridge the gap between hearty traditional fare and fine-dining cuisine. The dishes showcase ingredients from their own farm – including organic Angus beef – alongside carefully selected international items such as halibut and lobster. The inv

The location on the outskirts of the city in the Hajszan Neumann estate, which is operated by winemaker Fritz Wieninger, is something special in itself. Here, a wonderful brick vaulted ceiling and stylish interior design make for a distinctive look. The cuisine of Juan Amador more than lives up to the setting – he uses the finest ingredients to devise a modern and sophisticated set menu comprising dishes that are finely balanced and consistently harmonious. Take, for example, the wonderfully firm red mullet fillet, cooked to a perfect translucent finish, topped with well-seasoned anchovies and

Partners Stefan Doubek and Nora Pein offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The open kitchen is the beating heart of this restaurant and is the perfect stage for the chef-patron. Food is cooked using four fire sources, and every dish is crafted with meticulous precision and attention to detail, showcasing a distinctive identity with subtly integrated Japanese influences. Only the finest ingredients that the market has to offer are used. The dishes may appear simple at first glance, but they are the result of days or even months of preparation. They are entirely unembellished, focusing solely

Sören Herzig's restaurant is located in the 15th district, on the ground floor of the historical Dorotheum-Fünfhaus (previously a pawnshop). In this listed building dating back to the 1920s, the dining space was once an auction hall and has a minimalist, industrial-style atmosphere that is reminiscent of a New York gallery – relaxed and distinctively stylish. Gorgeous hardwood flooring, comfortable designer chairs and artwork by the likes of Peter Jellitsch and Clemens Wolf underscore the tastefully chic interior. The spectacular rooftop terrace affords breathtaking views, making it an ideal s

The exclusive Palais Coburg houses one of Vienna's premier dining destinations, a culinary hotspot for many years running. Executive chef Silvio Nickol and head chef Florian Daube present exceptionally creative cuisine featuring meticulously composed combinations of outstanding ingredients. Their distinctive style leaves a lasting impression – for example, in the wonderfully al dente white asparagus topped with crispy baby prawns and basil, or the rich, aromatic langoustine served with a shellfish-infused hollandaise and a citrus butter foam providing a delightful contrast. In Konstantin Filippou's elaborate tasting menu, the spotlight is firmly on fish and seafood, with meat largely absent or relegated to a supporting role. One standout dish is the delicate, mousse-like brandade of Amur carp and potato, served on a bed of al dente, slightly tart white asparagus, finished with fragrant toasted almond pieces and almond purée, plus a dollop of caviar. His strikingly modern seven- to nine-course set menu showcases top-quality ingredients from international markets. Housed in a beautifully restored building dating back over 300 years, this restaurant is located right next to the wine estate Weingut Josef Fritz. The interior is elegant and attractive, with minimalist-style decor; outside, the courtyard offers a delightful setting for summer dining. Following stints in a number of top kitchens, chef Marco Gangl presents a set menu that draws heavily on regional produce. It is predominantly plant-led but also features meat and fish.
