Guest scores & sentiment

From 86 guest reviews · multi-source · as of 2026-07-19

Guests consistently praise the host Maki for being highly attentive, offering local tips, and assisting with transfers. Apartments are generally clean, feature spacious terraces with nice views, and include useful amenities plus parking. Drawbacks include the hillside location requiring a steep walk to town and beach, some units having compact kitchens/bathrooms, occasional discrepancies between photos and actual rooms, and isolated reports of the host’s intrusive behavior or strict check-in rules.

Just steps from the picturesque port, in the heart of Hvar’s old town, this family-run restaurant has been a cornerstone of local cuisine for over 70 years, with a menu focused primarily on fish but offering much more. Try, for example, the Premium Ribeye: 330 g of beef ribeye aged for 60 days, served with red wine sauce, sweet pepper and onion potato cream, broccoli, and mushrooms. The spacious terrace provides a relaxed atmosphere, while the interior stands out with walls adorned with floral arrangements. Housed in the luxurious Maslina Resort, overlooking the sea, with its rooms of refined essentiality, the restaurant is perfectly in harmony with its surroundings. His cuisine blends French techniques with local and Mediterranean elements, primarily herbs and vegetables grown directly in his own garden. Sea and land dishes on an à la carte menu served in the indoor dining room or on the poolside terrace. Take advantage of the always excellent catch of the day. The wine list is well stocked and in addition to regional labels offers a good selection of French wines.
