Restaurant Marcon
Creative · ★★★ Michelin

The Marcons are a family team: Régis Marcon senior, self-proclaimed Auvergnat-Italian, exceptional cook, entrepreneur and culinary authority, works with his sons, Jacques, who has confidently moved to the forefront, and Paul, Bocuse d’Or 2025. Here, one thing is clear: the market and the seasons dictate the menu. There is something for everyone: meat from the plateau, Le Puy green lentils, asparagus, broad beans, snails and, above all, mushrooms – the family speciality, which they pick in autumn. This is food with strong roots – whole roasted Vocance squab paired with stewed green peas and stu

La Table de Philippe Girardon
Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

The fourth generation is at the helm of this family business, established in a splendid 18C edifice surrounded by grounds, which was once the holiday home of the bishops of Lyon. The inventive food is the consummate work of a chef who has had a Michelin star since 1993 and who became a MOF in 1997. Top quality regional produce, surgically precise craftsmanship in a classical vein and the occasional more modern technique depict the culinary ethos. This welcoming scene provides the backdrop to dishes such as a soup of frog’s legs with mushrooms and wild garlic, Grenoble-style arctic char, slowly

La Pyramide - Maison Henriroux
Modern Cuisine · ★★ Michelin

Originally a modest inn opened in 1822, this Vienne institution was made famous by the emblematic couple of Mado and Fernand Point in the early 20C. It was taken over by Patrick Henriroux in 1989 and has since continued to evolve on his watch: a designer decor in the dining area, the addition of a second restaurant (PH3), a charming hotel and a cocktail bar… As for the food, classical dishes are given a highly precise and pared-back contemporary twist: artichokes and European lobster, the Camus and baby varieties stuffed with meat from the claws, the tail with its coral ; milk-fed lamb with Pr

Youth, enthusiasm and unbridled creativity: chef Matéo Ravel is a real ball of energy in his trendy bistro with an open kitchen and exposed pipework. A true artisan, he cultivates relationships with a network of small-scale producers and natural winemakers. He bakes his own natural sourdough bread (it's excellent) and has mastered various fermentation techniques, which he incorporates into flavour-packed seasonal recipes: pollock white pudding with fenugreek and a Comté foam, Duroc pork loin, cauliflower and a robust grape-seed jus, or dark chocolate flan with tonka bean served warm with Piper

L'Acte 2

Before modernising these premises, Julie (restaurant floor and wine) and Lucas (kitchen) met at Régis and Jacques Marcon's restaurant, a benchmark if ever there was one. At L'Acte 2, they are now welcoming customers of their own into this small, contemporary dining space. Slow-cooked egg, cauliflower cream, grilled onion emulsion, baby spinach and peanuts; guinea fowl cooked two ways, pearl barley risotto, wilted carrot tops and mushrooms, jus corsé: he goes all out in his endeavours to create well-crafted dishes.

Bistrot la Coulemelle

This delightful bistro in the middle of the village is an outpost of Régis and Jacques Marcon's fine dining restaurant. Traditional pâté en croûte, updated with every season; roast chicken fillet, chicken leg rillettes with hazelnut and pumpkin; cheeses from the Ardèche and Auvergne: What more can we say? This hearty fare is fiendishly delicious. The open kitchens lend the place an inviting feel.

Originally from Cuzieu, a mere 2km away, Antoine Bergeron is very much a local boy. Ambitious and passionate about his work, he takes you on a surprise fine dining journey that subtly, creatively and joyfully showcases ingredients from hand-picked suppliers. Comfortably seated in the bright, contemporary dining room, you will enjoy a culinary tour of the region and the local markets. For example, Drôme zander with sorrel, tarragon and vanilla-laced fish stock; fillet of Aubrac beef, red cabbage in walnut oil and anise hyssop sabayon. Food that nurtures the soul, with special mention for the sa
