Modern French, International · ★ Michelin

Surrealist art by Marcel Duchamp and Jacques Charlier sets the distinctive arty scene in this colourful restaurant, enhanced by a warm welcome and a cornucopia of luxury details. Head for the patio in fine weather to make the most of the historic village of Durbuy. Rather than surrealistic, the food embodies the essence of a Michelin one-star establishment: taste! Renowned chef Wout Bru lets his ingenious creations and deftly crafted dishes speak for themselves, zooming in on outstanding produce, which he flanks with unexpected combinations oozing with Mediterranean charm. La Table de Manon

French Contemporary · ★ Michelin

Manon Schenck, who is nothing if not spunky, focuses mainly on fish and shellfish, with a weakness for lobster, in a region of Belgium that is renowned for its game! Her seafood score is strongly influenced by Alsace, her place of birth, by Brittany, where she worked for a long time and by her country of adoption, the Belgian Ardennes. Heart-warming food and service in a tasteful contemporary interior. Heaven for foodies! Manon has grown in confidence and daring. Her close ties with Brittany fishermen ensure the premium quality and freshness of her ingredients. In addition to the seasonal menu

It is always a pleasure to stroll around the picturesque small town of Durbuy. In their establishment, which also has a few guestrooms, Koen and Laurence immediately put you at ease by the warmth of their welcome. Skill, tranquillity and pleasure are the watchwords in the open-plan kitchen. While the chef clearly draws on his traditional background, he is far from averse to adding a modern spin to a patriotic lineup. For example, he may coat glazed langoustine with melted lardo, which is then paired with velvety risotto and a knockout gravy. Rather than showy gimmicks, the focus is on made-to-

From Belgium to Asia, via Latin America with stopovers in Spain and Provence, Wout Bru will take your tastebuds on a whirlwind tour with his amazing tapas. We recommend one of the enticing menus if you don’t want to spend all evening dithering over your choice. You may start with the subtle roasted aromas of langoustine tail paired with a gutsy wakame sauce and a vivacious espuma of spicy lemon oil, before digging into one of Wout Bru’s emblematic house signatures. La Bru’sserie, which is the epitome of hip, is just the place for knockout distinctive dishes and a deliciously casual vibe. A tre

Talented Wout Bru is at the helm of this chic BBQ restaurant in the heart of Durbuy. The stylish outer walls reveal a dark, inviting interior whose centrepieces are an imposing bar and a dry-ageing fridge. Unsurprisingly, prime beef, such as wagyu and other premium breeds, is the establishment’s raison d’être. Superlatively barbecued, the meat is served with knockout sauces and large portions of side dishes that each diner chooses themselves. There are a few fish courses on the menu, but this is really a place for meat eaters. First-class craftsmanship and lashings of respect for the produce.
