La Table de la Ferme
Modern Cuisine, Corsican · ★ Michelin

Murtoli defies classification in the usual tourist terms. Poised between the sea and the hills, this huge property accommodates overnight guests in the height of rural luxury in converted sheepfolds or villas with private swimming pools – here, modernity meets the charm of traditional Corsican architecture. Whether you opt for the short à la carte menu or the tasting menu, the food is a splendid tribute to the finest Corsican produce, most of which – vegetables, cheeses, eggs, honey, veal, lamb and olive oil – comes from the estate. Traditional country fare is given a subtle modern spin and ca

Chef Romain Masset proposes high-precision cuisine that shines a spotlight on Corsica, while also embracing flashes of creativity and the occasional obligatory foray into mushrooms, which he has revered since his years with Jacques and Régis Marcon. His set menus, with their enticing titles, take diners on a veritable tasting tour of olive oil, langoustines, shellfish, red mullet and suckling lamb – all carefully selected ingredients, prepared with finesse and intelligence. As for the setting, it is idyllic, with an unforgettable view of the Gulf of Valinco and Propriano from the terrace.

Finestra by Italo Bassi

Among the traditional shopfronts, this elegant façade stands out from the crowd on Bonifacio harbour. On the first floor, this superb designer space mimicking the shape of the inverted hull of a ship, with a subtle maritime-inspired decor, features a large window (finestra in Italian) overlooking the port. Chef Italo Bassi, who presides also over the kitchens of his restaurant in Sardinia, has devised a menu that allies the cuisines of Italy and Corsica. The mainly local ingredients are handpicked in these masterfully prepared dishes – the double ravioli with two fillings, burrata, guinea fowl

Here in Porto Vecchio, everything revolves around the sea. The ancient Genoese city fought off the onslaught of barbarian invasions and is a symbol of pride for Corsicans. Another source of pride is this restaurant: a mecca for lovers of seafood. Don't be distracted by the enchanting view of the bay, nor by the location of this superb hotel – it is on the plate that the most remarkable things happen! Chef Fabio Bragagnolo's cooking is inspired by both Corsica and Italy, as can be seen in his John Dory confit in olive oil with red lentils, burrata and tomato water emulsion. Masterful from start

La Table de la Plage

By the prettiest beach in the Domaine de Murtoli, this restaurant with an exceptional decor inspired by fishermen's wooden huts is well worth a visit. Locally caught fish, grilled crayfish, veal, beef or lamb reared on the estate: diners can tuck into dishes such as John Dory à la meunière, courgettes stuffed with caponata and a rock fish jus. The pasta dishes make for a deliciously indulgent option. To access this highly exclusive property, it is necessary to book – you will then also be able to head for the beach with a deckchair and towel after your meal.

Just a few kilometres from Sartène, this equestrian centre and restaurant set in the middle of the maquis promises an authentic foray into the mountainous side of Corsica. In a rustic-style interior blending wood and stone, the establishment has plenty of charm, with its country garden and white wrought-iron and wooden tables. The cuisine is hearty and delicious, with a focus on local ingredients. The organic veal and beef are reared on site; the fruit and vegetables are sourced from the kitchen garden or local producers. The meal includes a traditional soup, generous cannelloni with Brousse c

After many years as a MICHELIN-starred chef in his restaurant near Poitiers, Richard Toix has found in the heights of Porticcio an ideal setting for his delicate, flavoursome cuisine. With a sure hand and impeccable taste, he delivers cosmopolitan cuisine, blending influences from Corsica and the French mainland, as well as from stints in Asia, which have nourished his imagination and his palette. His cuisine is particularly attuned to flavours, a case in point being the apricot, tomato, anchovy starter, or the delicious dessert of honey and Brocciu cheese, an ode to the "Island of Beauty". Th

Above the Domaine de Murtoli golf course, set deep in the maquis, this restaurant charms diners with its absolutely unique location and its delicious and flavoursome cuisine, which features quality ingredients either from the estate itself or sourced from neighbouring producers. On wooden benches nestled among the rock formations, or on one of the superb little terraces with a splendid view, you dine by romantic candlelight, tucking into typical Corsican dishes that take the form of a single set menu: courgette à la Sartenaise, confit shoulder of lamb... and a tomato sauce with herbs from the
