Messina

Creative · ★ Michelin

Messina reflects the dream of chef Mauricio Giovanini, who has explored beyond his Argentinian roots to develop his unique, non-conformist culinary style, ably supported by his wife PÍa Ninci in her role as sommelier and front-of-house manager. Here, you’ll find a space that has been brought pleasantly up to date, with a kitchen that opens onto the dining room and even an exclusive “Chef’s Table” for four guests who can savour unique dishes not available to other diners. On his menus, Giovanini strives for harmony and clear individual flavours through a focus on cuisine inspired by both Europe

If you’re looking for a fine-dining experience which also comes with an element of fun, this pleasant and modern bistro-style eatery is able to meet both requirements in a perfectly balanced manner. The first thing to mention is that Úbeda-born chef David Olivas has always been a free spirit when it comes to creating dishes for his guests, a fact clearly evident in his creative-contemporary cooking that showcases his technical ability and personality through the use of the best locally sourced ingredients – the cornerstone of his cuisine is to bring time-honoured flavours into the present day.

Opposite the Parque de los Enamorados, in a charming old farmhouse on the Golden Mile, the famous sommelier Marcos Granda is thriving. For the greater enjoyment of the dining experience, apart from the elegant contemporary dining room, this space has two wine cellars, a private room with terrace, a chill out area... The chef from Toledo, Mario Cachinero, who approaches the liquid concept of the proposal with a special passion (this is the case of the Quisquillas dish and its Thai broth), proposes a return to the classic Andalusian recipes and the flavours of this region through creativity, rei

Another culinary project courtesy of renowned sommelier Marcos Granda, who returned from Japan at the end of 2019 astonished by its culture and the country’s respect for the finest ingredients – a revelation which led to the development of this new project.Nintai features a design based around pure lines, large windows, several private dining spaces and a large sushi bar with 12 seats, where guests can watch him work, create and improvise his 'itamae' style of cooking (which literally translates as 'in front of the chopping board'). Here, everything induces a feeling of serenity – the perfect

Casa Eladio

Mediterranean Cuisine, Contemporary

€€

A restaurant with a contemporary, maritime-inspired decor and a long history which has had a new lease of life with the third generation of the family now working the kitchens. The updated traditional cuisine, based around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, is also heavily focused on the sea without neglecting the country’s iconic acorn-fed Iberian pigs. On the à la carte, which is complemented by two tasting menus (Esencia and Camino del Sur), we particularly enjoyed the red tuna tartare with a white almond cream sauce, young salad leaves and mango.

Discover the flavours of Castilian cuisine in the heart of Marbella's old quarter, in a restaurant that, aesthetically at least, looks like the inside of a bodega! Chef Pablo Rebollo’s proposal, which comes as something of a surprise in this part of Spain, invites guests to discover creative Mediterranean cuisine that takes on personality by incorporating interesting fermented foods, game dishes, pickled foods, marinades... and subtle nods to his native Valladolid. The menu is complemented by two menus: Degustación (10 dishes) and Gran Menú Degustación (15 dishes). Interesting facts: The magni

In this renovated restaurant, now with an urban aesthetic that is not lacking in design and originality (with only five tables), there is a clear commitment to modern cuisine and local produce; all, as they themselves say, following a ‘global technique’. Here, through their small à la carte (designed for sharing) or the Amatxo tasting menu (7 courses in the form of tapas, taken from the menu itself), they seek the traditional flavours of Andalusian cuisine based on local raw ingredients (they tend to focus on three each month), although they also incorporate nods to other cultures, such as Tha

Areia

Farm to table

€€€

A Mediterranean-inspired restaurant with a striking decor of light tones and original artisanal fabrics adorning sections of the walls and ceiling. In the kitchen, the emphasis is on internationally inspired cooking, including dishes such as veal shank (for two to share and carved up in front of you), the unmissable beef sirloin Rossini, or the surprising variety of soufflés (with the final flourish and flambé in the dining room). The à la carte is complemented by a tasting menu.
