Are you familiar with the term"market bistronomy"? It is the concept created by chef Fabrice César to refer to his proposal, defined in his own words as... 'a fusion of haute cuisine and accessible prices, combining French tradition with international influences'. The centrally located restaurant, in an old stone house with several dining rooms and a charming patio-terrace, is run by the French chef together with his wife, Montse Carné, who treats all diners with the utmost care and professionalism. Here, local products with Mediterranean roots always act as a common thread, taking shape throu

Here, the culinary experience is considerably enhanced by the setting in a beautiful farmhouse teeming with history. This stone building, whose origins date back to the end of the 17C, was the summer residence of the writer Caterina Albert y Paradís, who was much better known by the pseudonym of Víctor Català. This restaurant boasts a stellar location on the tip of L'Escala’s old quarter, hence the splendid views of the sea and bay from most of its tables. The maritime-inspired à la carte is extensive, varied and bold and features a selection of traditional dishes, fish and seafood for sharing, plus several enticing menus (De Temporada, Degustación and Gran Mariscada).

This contemporary restaurant, a short hop from the beach, prides itself on close ties to the Basque town of Getaria (Guipúzcoa) and puts fresh produce in the spotlight. The menu features traditional Mediterranean cuisine and specialises in grilled fish (depending on the daily catch at the fish market: turbot, sea bass, John Dory, etc.). We also recommend the grilled octopus or the Port de la Selva prawn carpaccio, which is absolutely delicious.
