Die Brasserie

Classic Cuisine, Contemporary · ★ Michelin

€€€€

Behind the striking red façade, the unpretentious atmosphere of a brasserie meets the standards of a MICHELIN-starred restaurant. In a beautiful setting adorned with paintings, diners sit in comfortable, stylish upholstered armchairs at polished wooden tables and savour a four- to six-course menu, available with fish and meat or in a vegetarian version. Chef-patron Vjekoslav Pavic's pleasingly pared-back style is both elegant and punchy. The quality of the ingredients is absolutely top-tier, whether it is skrei from the Lofoten Islands or Ibérico pork. Attentive service comes courtesy of a pro

Borst

Classic French, Farm to table · ★ Michelin

€€€

Monika and Harry Borst have for many years been synonymous with quality and sophistication at their town-centre establishment. And now they have been joined by their son, Maximilian. In the kitchen, he toes the classic line, using high-quality ingredients to prepare cuisine that is at once pleasingly unpretentious and refined. They serve a set menu comprising three, four, five or seven courses, along with two starters to swap in or add on. This is accompanied by fine wines from the region. You will be treated to cordial and attentive service in the tasteful interior with a modern, elegant feel

Exceptional and almost exclusively regional ingredients are used to create flavoursome and pleasingly down-to-earth dishes. Two buildings, built in 1875 as a farmstead, now house a guesthouse (with a café at weekends) and this restaurant, whose rustic charm and pretty decor make for a cosy atmosphere. In summer, the garden terra
