Jin Jiang Hotel Shanghai is one of the most prestigious hotels in the city. It has a great downtown location, near the Huaihai Road shopping street, and is only a ten-minute walk from Xintiandi-Shanghai. The hotel's beautiful grounds cover more than three hectares, including 16, 500 square meters of landscaping. Jin Jiang Hotel Shanghai has five modern structures: The Cathay Building, Grosvenor House, Cathay Garden, East & West Wings, and the Jun Ling Building. The former three buildings have 442 hotel rooms, while the latter two offer 192 suites for offices and apartments. Then there is Jin Jiang Grand Hall, the site where the Shanghai Communiqué—an important document in U. S. -China relations—was signed during President Richard Nixon's Groundbreaking trip to China in 1972. Today, you can use the same Grand Hall for conferences, banquets and other professional events. Since its inauguration, Jin Jiang Hotel Shanghai has received more than 500 heads of state and witnessed many great events in Chinese Modern history.
