Il Pagliaccio
Creative, Innovative · ★★ Michelin

In the heart of Rome, a true gastronomic journey without boundaries begins, articulated through different menus according to the experience chosen: from Circus, “an itinerary that knows no limits”, to Scintille, centred on essential flavours and creative gestures, through to Parallels, an exclusive experience served in a private room of even greater intimacy.Guiding this narrative is Anthony Genovese, cosmopolitan chef-patron of personal vision and crystalline talent, capable of surprising even in moments closest to tradition, such as the Tortello, evocative of childhood memories, or the origi

Per Me Giulio Terrinoni
Seafood, Classic Cuisine · ★ Michelin
€€€€
Situated just a few metres from Via Giulia in the heart of the historic city, this restaurant is home to chef Giulio Terrinoni who, over the years, has built a reputation for his superb fish and seafood cuisine which he serves in classic, unfussy style with a focus on top-quality ingredients (meat and vegetarian options also feature on the menu). If you’d like to watch the chef at work and experience a more creative surprise menu, book one of the two seats at the counter facing the open-view kitchen.

Pipero Roma
Creative, Contemporary · ★ Michelin
€€€€
Situated opposite the church of Santa Maria in Vallicella (known to locals as Chiesa Nuova or new church), this restaurant is named after its owner Alessandro Pipero. Ciro Scamardella, a young chef from Campania who is not yet in his forties, is at the helm in the kitchen, where he prepares modern and creative meat and fish dishes with a focus on the seasons (the beef with spinach, bay leaf and black garlic sauce is particularly good), including a few specialities from his native region. His recipes feature ingredients such as rapini, escarole and lemons and his beautifully presented cuisine d

In the refined Prati quarter, the elegance of the surroundings finds a natural extension in the interiors of the restaurant that – with an only apparent ‘j’ – bears the surname of its chef-patron. Dinner is taken in a romantically subdued light, in a dining room that continues to evolve with both consistency and taste, supported by service of the highest professionalism: discreet, watchful, and perfectly timed to anticipate each moment of need. The cooking plays upon balance and variety, weaving references to the flavours of Lazio together with influences gathered during the chef’s earlier car

Glass Hostaria
Creative, International · ★ Michelin

In the heart of the most authentic Trastevere, among streets bustling with trattorias, Glass is located in what was once a carriage workshop – a detail still perceptible from the high ceilings – now transformed into a modern, refined restaurant. The cooking of Cristina Bowerman, while allowing certain echoes of Lazio’s culinary traditions to surface, expresses itself above all in a creative register, drawing with ease upon influences from other gastronomic cultures, from Asia to Latin America. Considerable care is devoted to the sourcing of ingredients, selected through trusted and sustainable

A young chef of undisputed talent is the driving force behind this discreet restaurant, hidden away behind the busier, more touristy streets of Trastevere. We are speaking of Antonio Ziantoni and his cuisine: creative, yet always governed by rigour and restraint, and built on solid classic foundations. Through precise and delicate technical steps, ingredients of outstanding quality are transformed into dishes that are generous and well balanced, capable of delivering full, rounded and deeply satisfying flavours. A telling example? Quail with sage and carnation flowers. The cellar is equally ac

Il Convivio Troiani

A restaurant of solid tradition, born in the early 1990s from the vision of three brothers from the Marche region – Angelo, Giuseppe, and Massimo: the first at the stoves, the others in the dining room. Over time, this establishment has become a benchmark in Roman dining thanks to a cuisine of strong authorial character, presented through two elaborate tasting menus – one entirely dedicated to the vegetable world. These menus can be adapted in length and are structured by seasonal rhythms and a constant dialog with Italy’s gastronomic roots. Iconic dishes are available to complement the experi

Idylio by Apreda
Italian Contemporary, Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

An elegant dining room in shades of blue and orange is the backdrop for Francisco Apreda’s cuisine, in which this chef combines Italian cuisine with spicy and Asian-influenced flavours thanks to his time spent working in Asia. He offers various tasting menus: one dedicated to his classic favourites, a second featuring his new dishes, and a third for vegetarians. There’s also an excellent wine list, with an extensive selection of wines by the glass.
