Hotel Post Gries

A refined and elegant atmosphere that takes on a decidedly romantic character in the evening: for over twenty years this has been the venue of choice in Bolzano for those wishing to enjoy fish prepared according to the most classic recipes of the Italian maritime tradition, founded upon the quality of the catch – sourced predominantly from the Mediterranean – and upon clean flavours. At the helm are two brothers of Neapolitan origin, a detail that accounts for certain Campanian echoes among the offerings and for the presence of pizza, available in the evening only and baked in a wood-fired ove

Situated in a pleasant location on the Altopiano del Salto plateau just a few kilometres from Bolzano, this restaurant has been run by five generations of women, all of whom enshrine a strong connection with the local land through their top-quality cuisine. The menu here showcases delicious, generously portioned cuisine from the South Tyrol (the veal cheek fondant, taragna polenta mousse, cocoa shavings and sour radishes is superb) which is prepared for the most part from home-produced ingredients and served in typical, modernised dining rooms or on the bright, airy panoramic terrace. In the heart of Bolzano, on the ground floor of the refined Palazzo Pock which grandly overlooks the piazza, Zur Kaiserkron (The Imperial Crown) welcomes guests in elegant, contemporary surroundings enhanced by striking vaulted ceilings that lend a touch of theatricality to the experience. Since 2025, chef Sinisgalli’s vision unfolds along two distinct paths, designed to suit different guests and moments of the day. The first offers a light, dynamic cuisine firmly anchored to the territory, where traditional flavors are reinterpreted with contemporary spirit, ideal for a city in constant motio

In the gardens of the Hotel Laurin, a refined glasshouse bathed in soft lighting and furnished with just a few tables creates an intimate and romantic candlelit atmosphere (booking recommended). In the kitchen, a Neapolitan chef delivers creative cuisine that blends local ingredients and Neapolitan influences, including vegetarian and meat dishes. The menu offers signature dishes and tasting menus of 3, 6 or 8 courses (the last being a surprise, chosen by the chef). Young and interactive waiting staff accompany the experience with elegance and warmth.

In the magnificent setting of the exclusive Parkhotel Laurin, this restaurant is one of the best in Bolzano, boasting a Liberty-style dining room and tree-shaded tables in the garden for summer dining. The traditional cuisine also includes a few modern touches with ingredients and techniques from all over Italy and beyond, such as the grilled trout and leek terrine wrapped in nori algae in the shape of a flower. The menu features meat and fish dishes, with a small section dedicated to traditional local specialities.

This building has been home to a restaurant since the 16C, making it one of the oldest in Bolzano. Today, it houses an elegant restaurant that serves a combination of traditional Alpine cuisine and classic Italian dishes with a contemporary twist, such as carbonara tortelloni filled with parmesan cream and crispy bacon. The attractive wine cellar boasts a selection of approximately 1 000 wines from the region and elsewhere in Italy, as well as a choice of labels from further afield.

Just three kilometers from Bolzano and equally close to the highway exit, this restaurant boasts over a century of history and has been expertly run by the Schmieder family for more than forty years. Such longevity speaks for itself: the establishment is a benchmark for enthusiasts of charcoal-grilled meats, the true specialty of the house. But the menu does not end there: alongside the carnivore mainstays, a modern Italian cuisine offering finds its place, spanning land and sea, with simple yet well-executed dishes such as prawns in spicy garlic oil served with bruschette.
