It is a real pleasure to see the terrific produce gracing the plates here at Gutsküche, just outside Hamburg – this is seasonal gastronomy par excellence! Organic ingredients from their own estate, Hofgut Wulksfelde, are the absolute focal point of the cooking, with the blackboard menu presenting vegetarian dishes that can be supplemented with so-called fish, poultry and meat "side dishes". "Wulksfelde herb salad, smoked fresh goat's cheese, rhubarb salsa, aigre-doux red onions" is a shining example, with its outstanding interplay of sweet, sour and bitter notes. Tip: Light bites and fine prov

Choose whether to enjoy your meal in the cosy dining room with its open fireplace, in the airy conservatory or on the lovely terrace shaded by trees… This restaurant is a charming location in which to sample good regional food: the menu includes dishes such as Glückstädter Matjes (PDO preserved herring) or fillet of wild boar, cooked rare in a juniper berry jus. Tip: The lunch set menu is an excellent deal. Should you wish to stay overnight, the pretty guestrooms are very inviting and all individually decorated.

Maurizio Oster is the chef-owner of this modern, clean-lined, almost minimalist-style little restaurant. He co-leads the kitchen with Mirco Brunßen. Together, they pursue a clear philosophy in which the ingredients always take centre stage. Excellent ingredients, frequently sourced from small producers and organic farms in the immediate vicinity, go into seasonal North German-inspired, plant-forward dishes. Accordingly, alongside a set menu featuring some fish and meat, a vegetarian version is available. Signature dishes can also be ordered as add-ons. The refined craftsmanship is apparent the

A brilliant combination of restaurant and bar! Their "modern, market-fresh cuisine" is served in the form of creative dishes, such as smoked sardine and razor clams from the Dutch coast with grilled peppers, capers and pickled coriander seeds. We recommend opting for the surprise menu, but there is also an à la carte selection that includes bar snacks – it is well worth trying their own creations from the cocktail list. Good to know: Alcohol-free beverage pairings are available for the set menu. A pleasantly lively and fun atmosphere reigns in this chic restaurant. The name is derived from the

Beyond the lovely interior decor in warm tones and the friendly, competent service, it is first and foremost Wahabi Nouri's cuisine that sets this restaurant apart. You can really feel his passion for food! His cooking owes its personal touch to his respect for his heritage: Nouri comes from Casablanca and incorporates subtle North African nuances. Spices are a constant presence in the set menus and merge harmoniously with French influences. The result is a sophisticated and finely balanced interplay of flavours. One particularly exciting feature is the chef's surprise main course, which chang

A truly charming find, this small, personally managed restaurant in central Eimsbüttel has a lovely clean-lined modern aesthetic and an intimate atmosphere. Marcel Görke, no stranger to Hamburg's culinary scene, serves up creative seasonal cuisine made from regional ingredients. The basis is a vegetarian set menu, which diners can opt to "upgrade" with a meat/fish course (it varies). Opt for four to seven courses on Tue-Thu; on Fri and Sat, five to seven courses. The dishes are bursting with intense flavours, a case in point being the potato millefeuille served with a vegetable sauce – its ric

Lenz Leslie Himmelheber pours his heart and soul into his cheerful, modern restaurant and his style of hosting has a distinctive personal touch. In season, the self-proclaimed "duckman" carves his signature Vierlande duck at your table. The menu also includes regional, seasonal and cosmopolitan cuisine with dishes such as salmon tartare with ponzu beurre noisette, pear and avocado, or "Wiener schnitzel deluxe" with cucumber salad, truffle chips and truffle mayonnaise. A separate lunch menu featuring simpler and more affordable dishes is another highlight. The food is complemented by an appeali

Elegant ambience, friendly service, tasty and ambitious international, classic and seasonal cuisine – on the menu e. g. fillet of North Sea cod with a horseradish, honey and rosemary crust. Incidentally, "Rolin" is the name of a ship's captain. Hotel Cap Polonio has well-kept rooms for overnight stays.
