Torhôtel Genève

On the shores of Lake Geneva, the luxury Woodward hotel boasts a fine dining restaurant that is the epitome of classy decadence. Diners are seated in an interior, tastefully appointed in dark wood and vivid reds, at high tables or at a counter overlooking the open kitchen to sample a tasting or a vegetarian menu or one of the “small plates” available from the à la carte lineup. Service courtesy of a charming, devoted team! The lunch menu is a steal.

Perfectly suited to the swish, intimate vibe of Hôtel Royal in which it is located, take a seat at one of the restaurant’s four tables and let yourself be guided. The chef serves each elegant, immaculately crafted dish himself, explaining the ins and outs of their preparation. You will sample a lineup of outstanding produce – Swiss veal and beef, fish straight from Brittany, Bresse poultry, harnessed to ambitious cuisine packed with character. We recommend booking well in advance, particularly in the evenings, both in light of the seating capacity and its popularity, which is not about to wane

Master Genevan watchmaker, François-Paul Journe, and former star chef, Dominique Gauthier, orchestrate a gourmet symphony that is fully equal to their respective reputations in this swish, upmarket bistro. In a setting depicted by wainscoting and a wooden coffered ceiling, diners are treated to culinary masterpieces such as giant prawns roasted in kadaif and delicately enhanced with citrus fruit and basil, Simmental beef in Voatsiperifery pepper or a tempura of Vallorbe frog’s legs with spinach and a light frothy garlic-spiked mousse. In addition to a relaxed, buzzy atmosphere, you can also ex

In addition to a jaw-dropping view over the lake, hence the restaurant’s name, we were enchanted by the high-flying repertory of Danny Khezzar served at the Hotel President Wilson’s fine dining establishment. Under the expert guidance of award-winning executive chef Michel Roth (Meilleur Ouvrier de France and Bocuse d’Or), Khezzar crafts a masterfully creative version of pedigree French classics. The dishes, whose plating is modern and sophisticated, are served in an airy, elegant setting, the centrepiece of which is an incredible suspended table made out of Saint-Louis Amadeus crystal. In the heart of Eaux-Vives, Tosca is the epitome of Tuscan elegance. Chef Ivan Baretti, born and bred in Florence, who trained at Arpège in Paris, works only with top-notch Italian ingredients, to which he adds a subtle contemporary edge. The stylish interior mingles frescoes, antique books and velvet upholstered armchairs, while the food sings a finely tuned ode to the Mediterranean. The high-flying culinary cast stars slow roasted pork or a medley on a clementine theme that showcase the chef’s consummate mastery and attention to detail. The perfect place for lovers of cucina italiana, with t

Tucked away in one of Geneva’s liveliest districts, the sleek open kitchen of this dainty restaurant captures your attention right from the start, drawing you into the heart of the action. A blend of modernity and tradition, the score adds an innovative spin to a lineup of classics, illustrated by risotto of mussels, celery, saffron mousse, passion fruit gel or a carpaccio of giant red shrimps, subtly marinated in yuzu, lemon zest and fresh herbs and paired with stuffed carrot rolls and a slightly sweet carrot sauce. The small pavement terrace offers a chance to get a real feel for this deligh

Next to the Fine Arts School, this vintage bistro cuts a fine figure with its cement tiles, designer light fixtures and bare bulbs, as well as a bar, banquettes and bistro chairs. The bistro lineup is packed with first-rate, carefully crafted seasonal ingredients: risotto-style celery, truffle and foie gras, confit lamb shoulder, cumin, asparagus and labneh or braised aubergine to die for… Take a peek through the small window that separates the dining room from the kitchen and admire the white-jacketed brigade hard at work. Bookings recommended as it is invariably packed with regulars! Pleasan
