In the centre of a town known for its carnival and many allegorical floats, this family-run restaurant housed in an old railway station dating from the early 20C serves traditional regional dishes. The house speciality is charcoal-grilled cuisine, with an equal emphasis on meat and fish options.

In the heart of the lower Padana valley, in the open countryside and in a lovely, specially restored farmhouse, Claudio prepares almost exclusively seafood cuisine of excellent quality, with a few southern accents, particularly from Puglia, his homeland. In summer, it is pleasant to sit at outdoor tables under the modern portico. The indoor dining room on the first floor has a contemporary feel.

She’s from Hong Kong, while he’s from Suzzara – together this couple run this welcoming restaurant where their international focus extends from the dishes which feature on the menu to the wine selection and the couple’s love for applied arts. Once seated, you can either choose traditional fare, including a few delicious fish dishes, or you can be tempted by the decidedly Asian options.
