The latest opening from the Siigur restaurant group sits within the bustling Rotermann Quarter. One of the hottest tickets in town, it’s a big, bold, blingy space complete with colourful furnishings and an open kitchen, at the heart of which is the Vulcano Gres Grill, where the dancing flames add not just flavour but also to the atmosphere. The extensive menu offers a good choice of Mediterranean-inspired dishes but, of course, it’s the meats and grills cooked over the fire that are the stars of the show. Lunch is good value, and the capable team cater as well for large groups as they do table

This former imperial summer residence comes with a charming interior which blends original stained glass windows and panelled ceilings with sleek, modern furnishings. The modern menu reflects the locale and extends across to the Mediterranean, with colourfully presented dishes exhibiting flavours and textures which have been well thought through. The gravlax with beets, horseradish and blinis is a must to start, and to finish the tiramisu is a winner. The lovely terrace looking out over Kadriorg Park is a popular spot.

The room has a bistro feel – there are even a few sofas available for those who like it super laid-back – and dishes come in the form of medium-sized plates that are designed for sharing. From sausage soup to cured trout or onion pie, each dish comes with the perfect wine recommendation.

Get ready for a spot of people-watching as you look out through the smoked glass windows of one of Tallinn’s longest-standing restaurants onto a bustling city street. Head for the café side if you’re after coffee and cake (think meringue cappuccino or honey and caramel), or enjoy a more cossetted environment in the dining room, where the experienced team are eager to please. Dining here is something of a delightful step back in time, both in the surroundings and on the plate, with all the Italian dishes you know and love, from clam spaghetti to a particularly delicious 'saltimbocca alla Romana

This lively all-day brasserie provides the perfect pick-me-up – particularly in the snowy months – thanks to its characterful stone walls, exposed ducting and striking copper chandeliers, while its courtyard is the place to be when the temperatures start to rise. Whatever the weather, you’ll always experience a warm welcome from the charming team. Modern dishes keep their focus on the local area, with the chargrill taking centre stage – the ‘Dirty Steak’, a rib-eye, is cooked directly on the charcoal itself. Portions are generous, so come hungry if you want to make it all the way through to de

At dinner, the wide-ranging menu of generously proportioned Estonian dishes focuses largely on meats and steaks from the charcoal grill – including their signature 'Dirty Steak' – while at lunchtime nearly everyone is here for their great value dish of the day. A good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks accompanies.
